See you Friday?
C’est vrai qu’on est assez loin du Congo.. but you could feel a little closer this Friday if you show up at the Heat Me Party at the Cannibale Café. I’ll be playing some African classics there from about 11:30pm until closing. If you’re in Paris this weekend stop by 93, rue JP Timbaud in the 11th.
If you can’t make it, pour yourself a little Bas Armagnac, get a fire going and throw on today’s Bantous de la Capitale track. It’s a little reminder that there’s much more to life than Lisie.

What a cool track.
I’ve been enjoying your postings since I discovered the site last week.
Jimmy, I’ve reposted Lisie. Enjoy.
Matt
Nice track again.
Les Bantous recently released a very nice new cd called Bakola Mboka, you should give it a listen. I saw them play live in May in Holland and they were great, see pictures here:

BTW, have you already eaten at the Cameroonian reastaurant La Tontine d’Or in rue JP Timbaud number 27? They have the best Poulet Braisé I have tased.
Ronald,
Thanks for the Bantous link. Looks good.
I haven’t eaten at La Tontine d’Or.. I’ll check it out. I’ve been to Le Pena a few times right near my place. Very tasty ndole, and fun Friday night live music.
Salut Matt,
