i absolutely love your blog. Since you seem to be opened to petitions, I would love to see some Zaire rumba if it is possible... I heard a man called Tino Mab which I greatly liked, and some Wendo Kolossoy. It is hard to get old rumba and I just wondered if we could hear some at your blog. I also love Rui Mingas, though I have only heard two songs (Kolonial and Birin Birin). Keep up the good work, thanks to your space I have been introduced to some artists and I have bought music by them (just bought Kham Kham, by Cherif Mbaw).

I also have a great interest in arab rap, MBS, Intik, Zanka Flow, and the likes... and love Hoba Hoba Spirit. If we could see some of that.

peace be with you.

Yes, I was searching for Dog Murras when I came across the Kuduro Sound System album. There's at least Murras song on it.

I'm gonna send Matt a Kuduro post to share some of my favorite Kuduro tunes. Check out Dog Murras. He's emerged as the leader of the scene. Also if you check the Mad Decent Podcast there is a great interview on there about Kuduro. More to come...

Thanks Matt for Chief Boima's guest post. And thanks Chief for introducing me to Kuduro. I went searching around for more and found FreFrédéric Galliano Presents Kuduro Sound System.. I purchased Isto é kuduro w/Zoca Zoca. Talk about "music that moves your booty like the Chicago House!" This song moves your body!

Thanks for the post. I was only recently hipped to Kuduro. Love the Buraka Som Sistema and the Frederic Galliano release, and am eager to get anything else. I don't download, but am up for some online ordering if there is anything quality available for order. Any suggestions on websites or artists?

Thanks,

I like the second because of the guitar...

The most wild music I know is Kuduru, it took me some time to get into this monotone electronic dance music, and I can't listen to it for a long time - but the young Angolians go crazy with it. I say it because the development of Kuduru was as Hip Hop, but Kuduru rhythm is 100% Luanda.
